Client Account Manager

Salary: £25,000 – £28,000 (DOE)

Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week, permanent

We are seeking a Client Account Manager, working as part of our Confectionery team, to work closely with our Sales and Marketing Director to support and develop the commercial relationship with our Confectionery clients Mondelez by working together with a variety of departments across the business to ensure successful delivery of our service to our clients.

The role involves supporting and coordinating our clients brand activation by forecasting, planning and managing stock levels. In addition, this role will involve working with the Sales and Marketing Director to identify key selling streams and growth opportunities by analysing sales data and trends.

This is a varied, fast paced and multi skilled role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You must have the ability to understand the services we offer to the Confectionery brands we work with and take a proactive approach to ensuring that our Consumer and Corporate customer orders are fulfilled, as well as having the ability to build relationships with Cadbury and other well-known Confectionery brands to development the services that we have to offer.

MAIN DUTIES

Main duties include:

  • Develop our forecast and planning processes, ensuring that we have the required stock levels to deliver our clients marketing campaigns and throughout the gifting seasons.
  • Be proactive and commercially aware, being proactive to develop our clients’ accounts and when negotiating and agreeing stock purchase prices with our gift components and gifting packaging suppliers.
  • In consultation with the Sales, Goods-in and Finance teams, report on stock and material requirements as required throughout our peak gifting seasons.
  • Develop relationships and work closely with other internal departments, including our Goods-In, Order Picking and Sales teams to ensure stock levels are effectively maintained and best before dates of goods are managed.
  • Work effectively with Finance to ensure invoices and credit notes relating to Confectionery supplies are processed accurately.
  • Raise purchase orders on our system for stock items, packaging and sundries to fulfil customer order / warehouse demand and maintain accurate, effective and efficient stock levels.
  • Ensure supplier deliveries are received on time in full and recorded accurately.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

Requirements:

  • Excellent at building relationships with individual at all levels (both internally and with external clients and suppliers).
  • Ability to work within a team in an open and professional manner, displaying a positive attitude to work.
  • Demonstrable negotiation and commercial awareness skills.
  • Ability to develop, plan and manage confectionery stock financial forecasts.
  • Demonstrable excel skills, as well as the ability to use our internal systems to manage stock.
  • Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, sometimes under pressure during our peak gifting seasons.
