System Support Analyst

Permanent, 37.5 Hours, Melmerby, North Yorkshire, Competitive Salary

We are looking for a high-calibre individual to support our key-based customer facing systems. You will be responsible for providing second line support on a suite of cutting-edge websites for a number of high-profile retailers processing £300M+ of transactions per year.

You will be the central point of contact for second-tier, complex support issues and will be responsible for designing and specifying solutions to resolve these issues and being responsible for the project lifecycle of these solutions.

  • Responsible for all 2nd tier, in-depth support tickets.
  • Responsible for all communication regarding the tickets with internal stakeholders and retailer customers.
  • Working with other members of the Projects team, IT and external developers to resolve the issues.
  • Working with project managers to specify any development fixes required to resolve the issues.
  • Testing any development fixes.
  • Working with project managers to assist in testing system releases.

What competencies and skills are required?

The ideal candidate would have:

  • GCSE’s in English and Maths at or above grade C/4 or equivalent.
  • An understanding of database design and the use of SQL is desirable.
  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work to strict deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work under pressurised environments whilst maintaining a calm manner.
  • Able to maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident communicator both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time.
  • To have a positive ‘can do’ approach.
  • Keen and willing to learn while developing new and existing skills.
